The workshop
Hey nice Pakefield friends!
I´m planning what we are gonna do next Friday 27th! I guess that is better to divide you in groups and give you the opportunity to rotate through each step in the process. First of all we are going to make some calculations and I´ll explain why and what ingredients we can use in each receipt.
Proposal of groups:
We can do two types of soap:
Olive oil (extra virgin if it is possible)
Coconut Oil
I´ve got all the ingredients, but only for making a couple of nice bars of soap and give you a sample for each of you, so if you really want to make soap to take with you, please, bring those oils I´ve mentioned and everything you want, creativity has no limits!
Some ideas: Dried herbs (thyme, lavender, rosemary, seaweeds, rose, mint...), various common ingredients ( goat milk, aloe vera, rolled oats, clay, charcoal, cocoa powder, coffee, honey...) and spices (turmeric, cinnamon...)
You can take a look to my previous work with Mouras, a little soapmaking and natural cosmetics project, here.

Proposal of groups:
- Lye group
- Oils and butters group
- Essential oils and extra ingredients group
- Stick blender and molds group
We can do two types of soap:
- With recycled oil (if you bring some from your home), remember that must be filtered and only used for frying vegetables. This type of soap is good for washing the dishes or clothes.
- Cosmetic soap. We can make two or three different receipts. If you want to take with you a nice bar of soap, please, bring:
Olive oil (extra virgin if it is possible)
Coconut Oil
